Tail Tales

A lamb in need
On May 5th, 2007, ARA received a call about a sheep that fell in a dam in the area of Moko and has been there for a few days already crying for help. Upon arrival, it was determined that it was actually a small lamb and the assistance of the fire department was needed as the lamb was too far away to reach and the muddy, oily water was too deep to enter.

Local firemen were quick to react to our call and were on the scene immediately to offer their professional help. With the help of a few ladders and ropes tied around their waists, two of the firemen stepped in and managed to finally grab the lamb and bring her back to safety.

Dripping wet, kicking but happy to be out, the lamb was brought to dry land and was cleaned off. She was quickly adopted by one of the firemen, who had a stock of sheep he was breeding himself at home. The lamb had no trouble blending in with her new family members.
